Eclipse Crochet Monster

The Saturday after Ed passed, I found myself in Joann Fabrics.  I was looking for fabric for Ed’s jedi shirt (Obi-Wan from episode III, very specific), and stumbled upon the most clever craft book I’ve ever seen.  (And that’s including my own.)

Edward's Crochet Imaginarium

Edward’s Imaginarium is a beautiful, build-your-own crochet monster book.  The flip-book pages allow you to build the monster of your dreams (nightmares?), with options for tails and wings.  The instructions are really clear, and the sheer variety of projects you can make is just amazing.

Since I wanted to make a monster for the eclipse, I purchased some Lion Brand Landscapes yarn in Volcano.  I love how my eclipse crochet monster looks in that variegated yarn.

The eyes and mouth are just a little bit of embroidery floss and felt.  I still have plans for an extra finishing touch for the hands, but I’ll keep that secret for now.

  1. Wow! This is gorgeous. I love the winged ears and that you used the darkest shade for the eye level. I’ll be doing something like this soon! Thanks for the inspiration.

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment!
